Cynthia Doerr, MD, is a Healthcare Advisor in the Houston office. With over twenty-five years of healthcare experience in both clinical practice and healthcare venture capital, Dr Doerr understands the interrelationships between clinical medical utility, technology assessment, market development, regulatory process, and commercialization of medical devices, biotech, and healthcare services. She has sourced and participated in the investment assessment and post-investment direction of numerous healthcare-related companies, from early stage to public.
Dr Doerr joined CFA after spending over thirteen years in a global healthcare-exclusive venture capital and private equity firm. Prior to that, she independently developed and managed her solo Pediatric Infectious Diseases private practice in San Antonio, Texas. She is involved in a medical product start-up company, and remains active in the healthcare-related entrepreneur ecosystem in Houston.
Dr Doerr holds a BS from the University of Nebraska, and an MD from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. She completed sub-specialty training in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Baylor College of Medicine.
