After completing my MBA in finance and marketing, I began my career in sales and marketing with a printing and manufacturing business. I quickly became the top sales producer and was promoted into a sales management role. In 2000, after extensive networking with attorneys, bankers and accountants, I acquired my first company. I grew the business organically and through several acquisitions. I landed several fortune 500 customers like Target Corporation, Best Buy Corporation and Kohler Companies and ultimately sold this company after increasing revenue and net income ten-fold.
In addition to my operating company background, I also have experience in developing and owning real estate. I have designed, financed and built projects from the ground up, as well as acquired and sold multiple existing properties. From 1990-1999 I was an early innovator in the Assisted Living field, owning and operating facilities in Southern Minnesota and in the Twin Cities metro area. I grew that business and ultimately sold the operating company and real estate to a national group.
As a life-long entrepreneur, I bring a wealth of information and experience to the CFA Minneapolis team. I understand the highs and lows of running, growing and selling a business and work with clients through the sometimes-daunting selling process. I find it incredibly rewarding when client goals are met or exceeded and strive to achieve this end on every transaction.
